Blue Source

How text message opt-in works

Blue Source (John Butler, doing business as Blue Source) collects consent for text messages verbally, on a recorded phone call, when someone books a discovery call by calling (267) 651-1785.

Step by step

  1. The caller dials (267) 651-1785. The call opens with: "Thanks for calling Blue Source, I'm Marcus, an A I assistant. This call is being recorded and transcribed by our A I system." The recording is kept as proof of consent.
  2. The caller chooses a time for a discovery call and gives their name, email, and mobile number.
  3. After the call is booked, and before any text is sent, the assistant reads this script word for word:

Assistant: "Want me to text you a confirmation and a reminder for your call? These are appointment texts from Blue Source, usually one to four per booking. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out anytime. Our terms and privacy policy are at bluesourceai dot com. Would you like those texts, yes or no?"

Caller: "Yes."

Assistant: "Great, you'll get a text shortly confirming you're signed up."

If the caller says no, or anything other than a clear yes, no texts are sent. Texts are never a condition of booking a call.

  1. Only if the caller clearly says yes, we send the confirmation text. If the caller says no, no texts are sent.
  2. The call recording and transcript are kept as proof of consent, with the date, time, and phone number.
